Far from being the nothing character of legend, however, the prince had the spirit of an unbroken horse. He was a loose cannon, one whose every move seemed dogged with intrigue and adventure.

And love? Yes, there were (shock, horror!) other girlfriends
before Cinderella. But his romantic adventures are only part
