If I ever had any doubts that all deer were Bambi, the writing of this book stopped all such doubts dead in the water. Neither do I believe that all puppets are Pinocchio, all bears either Balou or Yogi ... nor that all human beings are Oliver Twist. But I nevertheless believe that human beings are a really good idea. In fact, I think I prefer my human beings un-Twist-like.
I also think human life is a great idea, that so is civilisation and civilised values ... that so are liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I think the beauty of this planet is quite staggering, and the magnificence of Nature and her creations entities entirely worthy of veneration.
I am appalled we live in a world where we have so warped our values that all these wonders are now under threat. I am devastated that I am likely to bequeath such a world to a daughter whom I adore and to the children she hopes to have ... and to their children. I simply am not prepared to witness the forfeit of all these without a struggle.
And neither are you.
If you were, you wouldn’t have read this far. And if you have read this far, you’ll also want to read ‘Man of the New Millennium’. It’s the book you’ve been waiting for, the book you always said to yourself should be written. Elsewhere on this web-site I have read an article explaining why I wrote it.
